Ngaa Tira Hauaa ki Ngaati Hauaa

On Tuesday, March 18th 2025, our first Ngaa Tira Hauaa ki Ngaati Hauaa hui was planned for Rukumoana Te Kohanga Reo, but with such an awesome turnout, we shifted to Rukumoana Marae to make space!

Around 20 whānau from across the two Morrinsville marae,  Rukumoana and Kai-a-te-mata came together to kōrero, connect, and strengthen our community.

For many Maaori, the concept of disability has never been explained – they simply live with challenges, accepting them as a normal part of life.

Ngaa Tira Hauaa is about changing that, ensuring whānau have the understanding, support, and advocacy they deserve.

Upcoming Hui

Let’s uplift and empower our community together.
