Our Kaupapa (Our History and What We Do)

The FERNZ Wellington (Karori) Community Action Group (CAG) was the first CAG established by FERNZ and is a disabled-led group committed to identifying and addressing equity-based issues within the Wellington community.

Established in December 2023, the group advocates for practical, lived-experience solutions that foster inclusivity and create lasting change.

Meetings

The Wellington (Karori) CAG meets monthly at different accessible venues throughout Karori. These meetings provide a welcoming space for open discussion, shared problem-solving, and planning collective action.

Alongside meaningful discussions and advocacy, we share afternoon tea, laughter, and conversation — building strong relationships that underpin our collective work.

These connections foster trust, confidence, and a genuine sense of care among members, strengthening the way we work together and support one another.
