Ngaa Tira Hauaa ki Matamata/Waharoa Hui Building Stronger Whānau!

On Tuesday, March 4th 2025 , we held our first  Ngaa Tira Hauaa ki Matamata/Waharoa hui at Raungaiti Marae, Waharoa, with around 20 whānau coming together to strengthen our community.

Each member brought unique experiences and needs, highlighting the importance of this kaupapa.

For many Maaori, the concept of disability has never been explained – they simply live with challenges, accepting them as a normal part of life.

Ngaa Tira Hauaa is about changing that, ensuring whānau have the understanding, support, and advocacy they deserve.

Let’s uplift and empower our community together.
